Creative Card Crew for men

Create a card for men is the challenge at Creative Card Crew this week. I have used this harley image from stitchy bear and the girl is from Kenny K. I am trying to create some male cards as they seem more difficult to make than female. I have started using a few Kenny K images for these only for my daughters to ask why they are not wearing any clothes. I find it a little hard to explain to them that males may prefer this to the teddy bear and cute magnolias that I make, lol. x Amanda

Friday Sketchers Sketch

I got this cute little magnolia image stamped by my friend, he is rather cute. I have followed the sketch at Friday Sketches. I think I was meant to use flowers onm the sketch but they didn't seem to match so I used fish. Thanks x Amanda

Paper Play

My friend Carol asked if I could do a card for her brother in law. He likes bikes and I just won a random prize at the Digital Tuesday challenge so I chose this Harley from Stitchy Bear. The girls are from Kenny K, I was inspired to use these after seeing Sarah- Louise's awesome card she made with a series of these girls on it. I saw her card last week but could not remember where so I searched so many blogs this morning looking for it. It is fantastic, check it out here. As a bonus I was looking at Alicias blog where I read the PaperPlay Challenge and realised I could enter this card. THanks for looking, xAmanda

card patterns

I have followed a sketch at Card Patterns for this sketch except my image is supposed to be on a circle, but I stamped this beautiful bubble blower at a friends house and I couldn't do a circle around her because I stamped her in the corner of a sheet. She is pretty. Thanks for looking at my card. x Amanda

just magnolia

Over at Just Magnolia they have My Favourite Things. I love this mermaid, I have borrowed from my friend Lucinda. This mermaid and the beach Magnolias are my favourites. I have also used my favourite card taken by teal, I love this colour and this is my very last sheet :(. Stampin Up no longer have it in the catalogue so I'll have to go on ebay or an American site to see if I can get anymore.I've also used crystal effects which is beginning to be one of my favourite things and it makes her look amd feel like a real mermaid. Enjoy playing along x Amanda

mad for markers Australia Day challenge

Good morning, I have made this card for the Mad for Markers Challenge . THe challenge is Australia Day so it can be red/blue /white or green and gold. I had a craft day with friends WEdnesday and I stamped this Magnolia of Tilda with apples while I was there, she is quite cute. I used my copics to colour her in. I would really like some advice on colours to use for skin as I start with raw silk, then add milky white and eggshell but sometimes the raw silk looks too dark. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Amanda xx

All white

I really enjoyed this challenge at Digital Tuesday Challenge I think it was really different and the cards they have done are fantastic. It is quite a challenge when you can not add designer papers or colours. I made a engagement/wedding card, not very original I know with a white theme but I am still amazed at the talent and the creations people can think up out there. Anyway you can't really see it in the photo or scan but I have added a little glitter to the champagne and then coated the glasses in crystal effects, which totally impressed my daughter who thinks I am ammazing for being able to do that. I am really happy with this card and would of never thought of using only white. Have a try. x Amanda

mojo

Hello, this is the sketch I have followed at Mojo Monday I haven't used this nemo die
before so here he is. I can not believe how many things I have got and not used before. These holidays I have had a chance to look at and make sure I use everything I've got at least once. Well that was my plan anyway. Thanks for looking at my card x Amanda

Finally we have some sunshine here, Queensland Australia, which is fantastic news for our flooding state. Have a great day x Amanda.

new and Blue and Buttons

Ok so this scan is a little bit blury sorry but technology and I are just not getting along at the moment, I can not get my camera to download and my phone camera just doesn't want to connect to the computer either. Not to mention I just managed to freeze my paypal account and credit card in the one hit while trying to shop on line, lol. There is a button challenge at Just Magnolia and a new and blue challenge at Stampin for the Weekend, so I have combined both. I have been going through my papers and trying to use up some of my older pieces and some of my scrap pieces, which I really need to do. Hope you enjoy these challenges. Amanda

Color Throwdown

Ok so the colour combo at Color Throwdown is Artichoke, Baja and Coral. At the start I wasn't too sure about these colours together and I'm still not. I found it a difficult colour challenge. The Designer Team make it look so easy with their beautiful creations, you should take a look or if you are up for the challenge check out Color Throwdown. x Amanda

Cute Card Thursday

eman Cute Card Thursday has an Out with the Old Challenge I have used my old robot paper
scraps and my old really rust cardboard which probably wouls sit in the box for another year if it wasn't for this challenge. I used a sizzix die for the spaxeman and ship, although I haven't used it before I bought it quite a while ago off ebay, a habit I seem to get into after a couple of quiet wines. I actually thought they were robots when I started making this card and realised after I cut the rocket they were spacemen, so I tried to make a moon looking thing. Have fun bringing all your old papers back to life.x Amanda

Hope you enjoy working with this sketch. Enjoy x Amanda

mojo monday

This is my new favourite stamp set, Make a Monster. It is so much fun and my daughters love it. You can order this from Lucinda. I have followed the sketch at Mojo Monday which was also a lot of fun to work with, Enjoy.

Cute Card Thursday- Thank you card

Make a thank you card is the challenge at Cute Card Thursday and this is the one I have made. My friend Lucinda and I found a local craft shop that we can buy Magnolia stamps from so we don't have to wait for postage, this has re-aquainted (re- obsessed) us with Magnolia stamps again. I coloured her with copics, which is also a new obsession for me, how good are copics, I just want to colour in all the time. I had back to back kids swimming at the local pool yesterday so I took my copics and images to colour while I was waiting, I wonder what people were thinking to see a grown up sitting there colouring in. Have a great day, x Amanda
